Mary is the manager of the firm's payroll department, which currently prepares payroll for over 170 clients of varying sizes. The department consists of three full-time payroll preparers and two part-time preparers.
Mary earned her designation as a Certified Payroll Professional in 1996 and has kept current in the ever-changing areas of payroll taxes and payroll wage and hour laws through attending continuing professional education courses on these topics. She is a National and Central Pennsylvania Chapter member of the American Payroll Association.
Being a positive motivator and having an eye for detail are two of Mary's strengths that enable her to keep the department running efficiently and accurately. She has also developed strong relationships with clients through providing reliable payroll tax advice and being available to answer any payroll related questions.
Mary has also stepped into the role of Human Resources Director and is responsible for personnel matters relating to hiring and firing, employment policies, health insurance coverage, and other employee benefits. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
Mary attended Montana State University for three years as a Business Management major. She has been with our firm for seventeen years and was key in the development, growth, and automation of the payroll department and actively participated in cultivating the services provided by the department. The department continues to grow as more and more people realize the benefits of this service.
